Frequently Asked Questions

No, I bake under the Michigan Cottage Law, which allows me to bake out of my home.

There’s a lot of great information on the State Of Michigan website about cottage food law, including product label requirements.

At the moment, I don’t have plans to open a physical location, maybe that will change in the future.

Yes, I can accept special orders. If there’s something you’re not finding on my shop page or if you need something special with an existing product, I suggest contacting me on Facebook to work out those details.

I do make items with peanuts and other nuts, like many things, I can not 100% guarantee you there won’t be cross contamination. However with that said, my son has a peanut allergy, and I can assure you, I take every step to ensure this does not happen. The baking space in my home is the same place I would prepare baked goods for my son.

If you are concerned about a peanut/nut allergy or have questions about a particular product, please let me know.

No, not at the moment. Baking gluten free has it’s unique challenges that I don’t personally have experience with. It’s a question I get often 🙂 I’ve thought about giving it a try a few times but it’s not a priority of mine.

There can be a couple reasons for this, such as I don’t have the ingredients to make the item or perhaps I’m not prepared to make an item at the moment.

All our products are either baked the night before or the day of.

If you plan on enjoying your baked goods within a few days, feel free to keep them at room temperature. Otherwise, everything freezes well. Many people like to slice their bread and pull out what they need each day.

I don’t have any preservatives in my bread, so mold can begin to show as early as 4 days depending on room temperature and humidity.
